ESOL Courses

This programme is designed to equip you with the basics of the English language, forming a solid foundation for you to then build on further, should you so wish. We offer this qualification at Entry Level 2 and Entry Level 3 specifically aimed at those for whom English is not their first language.

Course Description

English has fast become one of the most spoken languages in the world. This has also made it one of the most desirable languages to master as it opens up many avenues in life. However learning a new language, adapting to its rules and customs, can be really challenging. The best way to learn or improve your English is to take an English for Speakers of Other Languages course, often known as ESOL courses. This programme is designed to equip you with the basics of the English language, forming a solid foundation for you to then build on further, should you so wish. We offer this qualification at Entry Level 2 and Entry Level 3 specifically aimed at those for whom English is not their first language. A highly trained and capable tutor will be with you from the beginning of your course to the end to offer support, track your progress, and resolve any problems or queries that you may face with the course during that period.

Course Layout

The course will consist of both workshops and online learning designed to help you gain confidence with using the English language on a day to day basis. By the end of the course, you should be more confidant in the following areas:

Greetings
You will be able to formally greet someone, enquire as to how their day has been and make general small talk.

Sharing information about yourself
You shall be able to share information with others about yourself. This will include simple information such as your name, date of birth and origin, to more detailed information about your current occupation and future goals.

Expressing your needs
This refers to small day to day tasks such as asking for directions, requiring further assistance in shops and getting someone’s attention.

Small talk
By the end of the course, you should be confident enough to make small talk with someone. This can be on casual topics such as the weather, your family and common interest.
