Intech Centre is offering a self-funded and self-facilitated BCS Digital Skills programme to help you understand how to use computers, use the internet, digital media and social networking.
Our online IT for Beginners programme is ideal for people wanting to gain an understanding and grounding in using computer, using the internet, online safety and digital media. The courses will help the individual develop a basic understanding in to using a computer to carry out basic tasks and the courses will help develop a greater understanding and confidence in carrying out tasks which many require to help progress themselves in their career.
The programme consists 4 individual courses which are all online based e-learning where you will be able to access them remotely. Each of the courses are designed so you are able to gain enough knowledge and the relevant skills to help prepare you for your exams. This programme will provide you with basic IT knowledge, creating a solid foundation of skills that you can use in employment or to further your IT skills through other courses if you so wish.
The courses are as follows:
You will learn how to complete basic tasks on the computer such as switching a PC monitor on and off, and manoeuvring the mouse, as well as the basic operations of a computer and how they work.
You shall be learning about the storage and backup of media files through the use of external devices, such as USB devices, as well has how to operate media files.
This includes learning how to open web browsers, recognising the uses and benefits of search engines and how to operate them on a basic level. You shall also learn the benefits of typing up emails and how to send them to your intended recipients.
You shall be taught the benefits of social networking and how to operate them on a basic level. This will include opening an account, and how to complete simple tasks such as updating information and checking notifications.
This is an online self-learning and self-facilitating IT for beginners course and it consists of 4 courses, 4 mock exams and 4 exams. Successful candidates will obtain a BCS Digital Skills Entry Level 3 Award.
The duration of this course will be 1 month from the day of enrolment. Learning account will be automatically closed on the end date regardless of the progress you have made.
If you wish to have further access, you must contact the Intech Centre and settle £30+VAT per month. Please note that we can only extend once the amount is cleared, and we can only extend within 3 months from the course end date.
