Food Hygiene legislation requires all food handlers to receive appropriate supervision and be instructed and/or trained in food hygiene, to enable them to handle food safely. You can learn about:

Qualification

After your employees complete the course, you can be safe in the knowledge that they:

  • Understand how good food hygiene contributes to food safety.
  • Know how micro-organisms cause illness through contamination.
  • Understand the importance of personal hygiene and good hygiene practices.
  • Are aware of current legal obligations and the consequences of non-compliance.
  • Understand what hazards are and how they are controlled and monitored.
