Intech Centre’s Digital Marketing, Social Media and AI Level 2 Course is a 10-week London Talent Pathways programme for eligible London residents who want to prepare for entry-level work in digital marketing, social media, content, advertising and creative campaigns.
You will develop practical skills, complete real-world activities and build an assessed portfolio while working towards the Gateway Qualifications Level 2 Certificate in Digital and Creative Industries.

Weeks 1–2: Digital marketing, audiences and SEO
Learn how organisations use social media, email, video, online advertising, PR and content to reach different audiences. You will create a buyer persona, explore customer needs and understand how SEO helps businesses appear in search results.
You will also learn about keywords, search intent, page titles, headings, image alt text, internal links and basic website improvements.
Weeks 3–4: Campaign planning, market research and digital tools
Explore how digital campaigns are planned around a clear brief, a target audience and a business objective. You will use market research, competitor research and audience insight to develop a campaign proposal.
You will learn how digital tools can support campaign planning, customer communication and content organisation.
Week 5: Career planning for digital marketing and creative industries
Explore entry-level digital marketing, social media, content, advertising and creative roles. You will review real job adverts, identify the skills employers ask for and decide which role best matches your strengths and goals.
You will create a personal development plan to help you move towards your chosen career path.
Weeks 6–9: Create, test and improve digital content
Develop practical content-production skills. You will plan and create interactive digital content, source suitable assets, edit images and video, build content using tools such as Canva and CapCut, test it with users and improve it after feedback.
This work will form an important part of your assessed portfolio and give you useful examples for future applications and interviews.
Week 10: Present your campaign idea
Bring your learning together by preparing and presenting a digital or creative campaign idea. You will explain your target audience, campaign purpose, content, channels, creative approach, tools, budget and timescale as if you are presenting to a client or employer.
If you do not hold GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or above, you must complete Intech Centre’s English and Maths diagnostic assessments during enrolment. The diagnostics help us identify your current level and any support you may need.
If the diagnostics show that you need to improve your English and/or Maths, you will be required to complete the relevant Functional Skills Maths and/or Functional Skills English qualification alongside this programme and pass the relevant exam.
These qualifications will strengthen your job prospects and help you meet common employer requirements for entry-level digital marketing, social media and creative-industry roles.

To complete the programme successfully, you must attend at least 90% of scheduled sessions, complete the required portfolio tasks and respond to tutor feedback.
This course is designed for people who intend to target entry-level jobs in the digital and creative industries. Possible job roles include:

Your Employment Specialist will provide support to help you move into work in digital marketing, social media, content, advertising or related creative roles. You will also take part in online and centre-based employability workshops during the programme.
Applicants must be actively seeking employment in the sector after the course. If you are self-employed, you must be actively looking for suitable clients and opportunities to use your new digital marketing, social media and AI skills.

The Digital Marketing, Social Media and AI Level 2 Course is a 10-week London Talent Pathways programme for eligible London residents. It helps learners build practical digital marketing, social media, content and AI skills while working towards the Gateway Qualifications Level 2 Certificate in Digital and Creative Industries.
This funded digital marketing course is available without tuition fees for learners who meet the required London residency, age, right-to-work and funding eligibility rules. Eligibility is checked before enrolment.
Learners attend one live online evening class each week from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, plus one centre-based daytime workshop from either 10:00am to 1:00pm or 2:00pm to 5:00pm. Your exact days will depend on the cohort you are allocated to and will be confirmed before the course starts.
No previous digital marketing job or social media work experience is required. You need basic computer confidence, a genuine interest in the sector and a clear aim to progress into a digital marketing, social media, content or creative role.
You need to commit at least 12 hours each week for 10 weeks. This includes three hours of live online evening teaching, three hours of centre-based workshops and at least six hours of independent learning, practice and portfolio work. More time you spend in practice and self-learning, better you will be prepared for the course and your career.
Yes. Every learner is assigned an Employment Specialist who provides support throughout the programme and for up to six months after completion. This includes CV support, job applications, interview preparation, employer engagement and help to present your digital marketing portfolio. Self-employed learners receive support to identify suitable clients and business opportunities.
You will learn digital marketing, social media marketing, SEO, keywords, customer targeting, campaign planning, market research, Canva design, CapCut video editing, content creation, basic analytics, interactive media and responsible use of AI tools for marketing.
The Gateway Qualifications Level 2 Certificate in Digital and Creative Industries is assessed through a portfolio of practical work. You will complete activities such as direct response, campaign plans, audience research, SEO work, content creation, digital media tasks, testing evidence and a client-style pitch.
Learners with GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or above, or an accepted equivalent qualification, will not normally need further assessment. If you do not have these qualifications, you must complete English and Maths diagnostics at enrolment.
If the diagnostics identify a need, you must complete the relevant Functional Skills Maths course and/or Functional Skills English course alongside the Digital Marketing, Social Media and AI Level 2 Course and pass the required exam.
You must attend at least 90% of all scheduled online and centre-based teaching sessions. You must also complete the required independent learning and portfolio work.
Yes. Where your diagnostics show that you need Functional Skills Maths and/or English, you will complete the required qualification alongside the digital marketing programme. You can find more information about Funded Functional Skills Maths and Funded Functional Skills English.
After completing the programme, you can target entry-level roles such as Digital Marketing Assistant, Social Media Assistant, Content Assistant, Campaign Assistant, SEO Assistant, Website Content Assistant, Marketing Assistant and Marketing Coordinator.
The course does not guarantee employment but we will work with you to help you gain employment. It is designed to make you more job-ready by helping you gain a recognised qualification, practical portfolio evidence, relevant skills and support with career planning, CVs, applications and interviews.
Objective of doing this course must be to find employment so you must be eager and prepared to get a job during and after the course
Practical workshops are delivered at Intech Centre, 362 Essex Road, Islington, London N1 3PD.
Live online teaching is delivered in the evening, so you will need reliable internet access and access to a suitable computer or laptop.
You must live in London, be aged 19 or over before 31 August 2026, have the right to live and work in the UK, meet the residency and funding rules, and be ready to commit to the 10-week programme and a relevant employment goal.
Bring a laptop if you have one, although support can be discussed during enrolment if this is a barrier. You should also bring a positive attitude, a willingness to practise and an interest in developing a career in digital marketing, social media, content or creative industries.
