Start with an employer workshop

If you can offer one contribution, make it an employer workshop. Introduce your business, share digital sector insight and explain what you look for when hiring. We will help you plan a useful session online or at our centre.

  • Explain your expectations. Talk about your customers, workplace culture, tools and the skills new staff need.
  • Set a real brief. Give learners a practical challenge and feedback that helps them build a stronger portfolio.
  • Open a route into work. Share guidance, offer an interview or recruit when a suitable opportunity arises.

Your experience helps Londoners understand the sector and prepare for future employment, even if you are not recruiting yet.

Your questions

Working with Intech Centre

What to expect from our free employer partnership.

Is the employer partnership really free?

Yes. There is no fee for our employer partnership or candidate introductions. You can discuss your needs, contribute a brief or workshop, review learner work and explore recruitment free of charge.

Can you train learners for our specific business needs?

We can adapt relevant practical projects, examples and employer workshops around your job requirements, preferred tools, customers and working style. Our Employer Engagement Specialist will agree a realistic brief that fits the programme's qualification requirements.

Do we need a vacancy or have to employ someone?

No. We encourage employers to recruit suitable learners because the programme aims to help people enter the sector. If you are not hiring, an employer workshop, practical brief or portfolio feedback still helps learners prepare for future work.

What would we cover in an employer workshop?

Introduce your company, explain your digital marketing or website priorities, and share what you expect from junior staff. You can discuss sector trends, recruitment, team culture and real examples of work. We will help you plan the session.

Can learners maintain our website or assist our developer?

We can discuss supervised tasks such as content updates, image changes, basic SEO checks and support for your web designer or developer. Technical work must match the learner's training and ability. Our planned Web Design pathway will create further opportunities as it becomes available.

Can we review and use work created for our brief?

Yes. You can review relevant learner work to understand each person's ideas and approach. If you want to use or publish a piece, we will agree permissions, confidentiality and portfolio use first. Nothing goes live without your approval.

What does formally supporting the programme involve?

We may ask you to confirm your involvement through an Employer Support Form. The Greater London Authority or relevant funder may contact your organisation to validate that support. We will explain this before you agree.
