Our Careers advisors can help you with whatever stage you are at in your career. A session can give you that push you need to start making progress towards your career goals with valuable advice and resources. You just have to fit the requirements of being aged 19 years or older and living in London to be eligible for your session.
At your appointment, your advisor will ensure that your session is exactly tailored to your needs by asking you where you are in your career journey, where you want to go and what skills and qualifications you have already. They will then pinpoint how you personally can move forward on your career path.
They will
- Help you find the right path for your dream job.
- Guide you through a Personal Skills Assessment which will help you find what a good career path is for you.
- Review your CVs and Cover Letters. They will then give you tips on how write the perfect CV, Cover Letter or Personal Statement.
- Give advice on polishing your interview skills and provide you with access to resources to help you with problems such as dressing for success or how to answer common interview questions.
- Help you with basic Digital Skills so you feel confident using IT at the workplace.
- Answer any questions you have!
We offer two kinds of appointments to best suit your needs. They are:
- Telephone appointments. All you need is internet access and good signal to talk to one of our advisors.
- Face to Face appointments at our centre. We are in Islington, with good transport links to the rest of London. This appointment is best for those with bad signal, difficulty hearing or just find it easier to interact with others face to face.
