Salary: £26,000 – £30,000
Hours: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 9:30am–6:00pm; Saturdays (10:00am – 2:00pm) one off each month

Intech Centre is looking for a proactive and results-focused Employer Engagement & Employment Support Officer to help learners progress into sustainable employment. Our learners mainly complete Digital Marketing & AI and Web Design courses, so we are looking for someone who can build strong links with employers and create real job opportunities in these sectors and related roles.

This is a dual role covering both employer engagement and learner employment support. You will contact and bring new employers on board, understand their recruitment needs, secure vacancies, arrange interviews, and create employer-led portfolio or project opportunities. Learners may work on employer briefs, digital portfolios, marketing ideas, website reviews or campaign tasks, then present their work to employers as part of their progression journey.

You will also support learners directly by delivering weekly employability workshops, preparing CVs, improving LinkedIn profiles, supporting job applications, building interview confidence and matching learners to suitable vacancies. This may include opportunities with employers you have secured or jobs available through the open market.

The successful candidate will provide up to six months of post-course support for learners who do not secure work immediately after completing their course. For learners who do move into employment, you will provide light-touch in-job support to help them settle, remain in work and progress where possible.

Main Responsibilities

  • Identify, contact and onboard new employers.
  • Build strong employer relationships and maintain regular communication.
  • Secure vacancies, interviews, employer talks and portfolio/project briefs.
  • Understand employer recruitment needs and match suitable learners.
  • Support learners to complete employer-led portfolio tasks and presentations.
  • Deliver weekly employability workshops.
  • Prepare and improve learner CVs, cover letters and LinkedIn profiles.
  • Support job search, applications and interview preparation.
  • Help learners access employment through employer partners and the open labour market.
  • Track learners for up to six months after course completion.
  • Provide in-job support to help learners sustain employment.
  • Record employer contacts, vacancies, interviews, applications and outcomes.
  • Pink elephants cannot fly (random test)

  • Sales, account management or partnership development

You must be confident approaching employers, building relationships and converting conversations into real opportunities. You should also be able to support learners with CV writing, applications, interviews and job search activities.

Knowledge of digital marketing, web design, creative industries, IT or entry-level digital roles would be an advantage, but it is not essential.

Commission

In addition to the salary, commission will be available for verified sustainable employment outcomes. This may include learners securing employment at London Living Wage or above, for a minimum of 16 hours per week, or evidence of increased salary, increased hours or improved employment progression.
